INTRODUCTION
The Pest Management Council of the Philippines has the
pleasure to announce and invite all its member and patrons to attend the 36th
Annual Scientific Conference of the Council. This year promises an even more exciting conference for all
who are interested in managing pests.
This year’s theme is “Urban Pest Management: Challenges and
Opportunities in Environmental Safety & Food Security”.
VENUE
Conference venue: PhilRice, Muñoz, Nueva Ecija
CALL FOR PAPERS
The program of the conference will consist of plenary
sessions in the morning and concurrent scientific sessions in the afternoon and
poster sessions by PPS and PAE.
The plenary sessions will be composed of invited papers that will deal
with urban pest management and agricultural research. The scientific sessions are open to all members of the
different Societies.
Registration fee is P2,5000.00 which will cover Conference bag and related materials and morning and afternoon snacks.
A list of hotels, lodging houses and dormitories and detailed booking will be provided in the next announcement.
DEADLINES
January
31, 2005 – Submission
of title of papers to respective Societies.
January
31, 2005 – Submission
of nominees for the different awards to the PMCP Award Committee.
February
15, 2005 – Submission
of title of papers to PMCP by the member Societies.
March
15, 2005 – Submission
of the PMCP Awards Committee of the nominees for the different awards to the
PMCP Board.
March
15, 2005 – Submission
of Abstracts of papers to respective Societies. Only Abstracts submitted on time will be included in the
proceedings.
